about

Soundass returns with Part 2 of their 4-month album release cycle for the "Father's Friend" suite, four distinct records that build part of a whole (which will also be released during month 5 of the project). This album sees Soundass unleashing their jazzy, funky groove, with guest vocalist J. Lavender assisting on tracks 2, 4, an 6. They open with one of the most hauntingly coherent jazz masterpieces Soundass has ever put to record, also unleashing an Eno-style groove on "The Fires of St. Agnes," and a funk clamor on "Getting Wild." The album will not disappoint, in fact it will delight! It will please you! You will be merry! Pretend we've just bestowed you with a candied fig, and you've just eaten it—oh how merry you would be! That is how you will feel listening to Jack Packer and the Bay Street Steppers!
